The activities, controls and assessment criteria in the underlying Public Open Space – Informal Recreation zone and the Auckland-wide rules apply in the following precinct unless otherwise specified below. Refer to the planning maps for the location and extent of the precinct.

2. Notification
1. The council will carry out full public notification of applications for resource consent for any application for development of additions and alterations and new buildings.
3. Development controls
1. The development controls in the Auckland War Memorial Museum precinct are those listed in the Public Open Space - Informal Recreation zone except as specified below.
2. Development that does not comply with clause 3.1 above is a discretionary activity.
3.1 Building coverage
1. Building coverage must not exceed 85 per cent of the area of the precinct.
